Casa de Mateus is a very special place where there is both historical heritage and natural heritage that, over the last few centuries, have been preserved through the joint actions of a family unit and, more recently, the statutory missions of the Casa de Mateus Foundation, established in 1970.

The Casa de Mateus Foundation's educational offer is aimed at students from pre-school to secondary school, based on the assumptions contained in the Portuguese curriculum targets, with content that can be explored through both historical and natural heritage.
