In September and October, in three concerts, we embarked on a regressive journey in dialogue with the revisiting of the Figures of Matthew. Firstly, the repertoire from the 20th century, contemporary with the Foundation's establishment, and then the repertoire from the transition from the 18th to the 19th century, following the life cycle of D. José Luís, 1st Count of Vila Real, in two chamber concerts organised by the Portuguese Association of Friends of Music. Finally, with the Americantiga Ensemble, we go back to the first quarter of the 18th century and the moment when António José, 3rd Morgado de Mateus, dreamed of building the House, to hear François Couperin's Leçons de Ténèbres.
